My Thoughts on NXT (8/31/16): Bobby Kind

Tye Dillinger vs Buddy Murphy- The match kicks off with the two exchanging holds before hits a snapmare and mocks Dillinger before flipping his hair in his face. After running the ropes, Dillinger hits an atomic drop and a snapmare before starting the ten chant. The two hit an elbow each before Murphy yanks Dillinger down by his hair and hits a running knee for a one count. Murphy tosses Dillinger over the top rope and tosses him back in before hitting diving double knees for a near-fall before the commercial break. We come back to Murphy continuing to work over Dillinger. Dillinger ends up tossing Murphy over the top rope and catches Murphy off a flying nothing. Dillinger stomps Murphy in the corner before hitting the Tye Breaker for the win. Alright match, a bit slow at times. Charlie Caruso interviews Tommaso Ciampa. He says Johnny Gargano's leg will recover before being interrupted by the Revival. He tries to fight them 2-on-1, but it's no use. They brawl from back

My Thoughts on SmackDown (8/30/16): Heavy Metal Dabbing

Before the show, they re-show the heated Miz promo from Talking Smack last week. Shane McMahon tells Daniel Bryan he probably owes Miz an apology and that he shouldn't get in the face of the wrestlers. We kick off the show with the Miz & Maryse storming out to the ring before his music even hits. He demands they stop playing his music and asks everyone if he has their attention to a chorus of boos. He says the Intercontinental Championship has been ruined by failures and quitters, but he is revitalizing it. He says he's smarter for wrestling the way he does and trying not to get hit. He says he does everything he does day in and day out without getting injured and that the fans boo him because he's not an indy guy like Bryan. He calls all the fans cowards before Dolph Ziggler comes out. Ziggler says Miz makes a lot of good points, but the people don't like him because people see through him. He says Miz doesn't love wrestling, he just wants to be famous. Zi

Worst in the World: Tyson Tomko vs Stevie Richards-Unforgiven 2004

So uh...this is a match. Yeah, there's not a lot I can say about this. It's Tyson Tomko, aka that big dude who used to follow Christian around in WWE & TNA, against Stevie Richards, who didn't really do anything in WWE. How does this come about? Well, brace yourselves, because this gets a little weird. Back in 2004, Victoria was winning matches with the help of a mystery woman. That woman was Stevie Richards in drag. At Unforgiven, after losing to Women's Champion Trish Stratus, Trish's bodyguard Tyson Tomko tried to attack Victoria, only to get attacked by the mystery woman. After "she" ran off, Tomko grabbed a mic and demanded "she" come out and fight him. So, with that being said, let's get into this. Richards slaps Tomko to start, only for Tomko to knock him down and take off his wig & jacket. Tomko then proceeds to strip Richards down to his underwear. After almost FIVE WHOLE MINUTES of Tomko just battering Richards, Richard

My Thoughts on RAW (8/29/16): Total Elimination

We kick off the show with all the participants in the Universal Championship Elimination Fatal 4-Way match tonight. The crowd boos literally anytime Reigns shows up on screen. Seth Rollins brags about injuring Finn Balor and forcing him to vacate the title and says he's the favorite to win the title. He graciously gives his speaking time to Kevin Owens, and Owens thanks him. He mockingly compliments all his competitors as the crowd loudly cheers for him. Owens says that without Sami Zayn in his way he can win the Universal Championship. He says he delivers big, unlike Rollins who talks big. He says fights smart, unlike Reigns, and says Big Cass is only "really tall." and calls him Enzo Amore's puppet. Cass jokes that Jericho must've written his jokes for him while he was busy buying ridiculous clothes. Cass says he's got nothing to lose tonight and that he's the dark horse, with Rollins joking that even Enzo bet against him. Rollins decides to take hi

Worst in the World: The Bushwhackers vs Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff-Heroes of Wrestling

Only five matches in the history have earned the notorious -5 stars rating from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer. And I've gone through all of them in the Worst in the World...except one. And from what I understand, this is quite possible the worst of the bunch. And it could only come from a show as bad as the equally notorious Heroes of Wrestling. It's the Bushwhackers facing off against the team of the Iron Shiek and Nikolai Volkoff. That's over 200 years of age combined from everyone in this match. Let's just get into this. So before the match, Volkoff sings the Russian National Anthem (as usual) and Shiek doing a Persian Club demonstration. Then outcome the Bushwhackers, who lick some children in the crowd. Somebody call Chris Hansen. Sheik & Volkoff slowly blindside the Bushwhackers in the corner before the Bushwhackers take them both out and they roll to the outside. The Bushwhackers then get the fans to start chanting "USA". The Bushwhack

Worst in the World: Triple H vs Scott Steiner-Royal Rumble 2003

I don't think you understand how bad I've wanted this match to come up. Seriously, for every match I've dreaded having to see, this is the one I was actually looking forward too. It literally combines one of my favorite eras in wrestling to rag on with one of the craziest wrestlers of all time. Are you ready for this? Because this intro's gonna be like three paragraphs long. The Reign of Terror! The two and a half year period where Triple H went into full Hulk Hogan mode. After being awarded the World Heavyweight Championship by Eric Bischoff in September 2002, Trips proceeded to DESTROY the RAW roster with ease, beating the likes of Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, Kane, and Booker T. Even his boy Shawn Michaels couldn't avoid his wrath, doing the job in a Three Stages of Hell match after beating Trips the month prior. Come Royal Rumble 2003, they needed a new challenger. And it couldn't just be anyone, they needed...a genetic freak. Enter Scott Steiner. Afte

Worst in the World: Alex Wright vs Steve McMichael-Halloween Havoc 1997

MONGO'S BACK! HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN! Yes, he's back for another match in the Worst in the World! What is there to really say about Mongo? He was an awful commentator, who went on to become an awful wrestler before finally leaving wrestling in 1999. He did, however, come full circle with his awfulness in 2008, when he did an awful job refereeing a 4 team Monster's Ball match at Bound For Glory IV. That's actually how he counted pins. Anyways, this time around he faces "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright, who might know for making a PROMISE to win if you picked him in WCW Thunder on the Nintendo 64 at Halloween Havoc 1997. It's Mongo, so it's got to be fun. Let's get into this. The two trade wristlocks to start before Mongo hits a bodyslam, followed by Wright rolling out of the ring to consult with his valet Debra. Wright gets the better end of the lock up and starts stomping away on Mongo's arm before Mongo turns the tables and knee drop

Worst in the World: The Beverly Brothers vs The Bushwhackers-Royal Rumble 1992

There have been a lot of annoying managers in wrestling through out the years. People like Jimmy Hart, Vickie Guerrero, and Bill Alfonso we're very well known for obnoxious attitudes, annoying voices, and noisy gimmicks that made every fan hate whoever they were managing. And that was the point, they were heel managers. However, there is one manager that tops anyone else as the most annoying manager in wrestling history. Even worse, this guy was supposed to be a babyface. Ladies and gentlemen...this is Jamison:  He managed the Bushwhackers during their feud with the Beverly Brothers to counter Beverly's manager The Genius. He's annoying. And unfortunately, he made his sole pay-per-view appearance at the 1992 Royal Rumble for the Bushwhackers/Beverlys match, which I take a look at in this entry. I really just want to get this over with so I never have to see Jamison ever again. Let's just get into this. So despite the bell ringing, the Bushwhackers continue to

My Thoughts on SmackDown (8/24/16): A Near Curt Hawkins Experience

Before the show, AJ Styles walks into the locker room calling himself the new face that runs the place before putting on the bicep band as a headband. He then gets in Dolph Ziggler's face and mocks him for losing. Ziggler head butts him and a fight breaks out, which is quickly broken up by the other wrestlers and referees. We kick off the show with all the women and tag teams in the ring with the new Tag Team Championships and the new Women's Championship before Shane McMahon & Daniel Bryan come out. The Women's belt is the exact same as the one on RAW except for the background on the center plate is blue and not red. The same goes for the Tag Team Championships, which are silver instead of bronze. At least they don't look like pennies, now. Sure they still look like coins, but more valuable coins, at least. Like quarters or something. They announce two things, a Six-Pack Challenge to crown the first ever SmackDown Women's Championship at Backlash, and a to
