My Thoughts on NXT (6/28/17): Bushido

We kick off NXT with Nigel McGuinness introducing us to the newest member of the NXT commentary team...Mauro Ranallo! Man, it's so great to hear Ranallo on commentary again. The Velveteen Dream vs HoHo Lun- The two trade holds to start before Lun strikes away at the Dream. The Velveteen Dream quickly fires back with a big boot before hitting a delayed vertical suplex. The Velveteen Dream finishes Lun off with the diving elbow drop, which he calls the Purple RainMaker. Wonder where he got that name from?  In a clip prior to the show, Asuka gets interviewed in her car. She says she's confident heading into her match against Nikki Cross tonight, only for Cross to hop up on the hood of her car. Security pulls her off and takes her away from the car. William Regal informs the Authors of Pain & Heavy Machinery that they will face off for the NXT Tag Team Championships in two weeks. Otis Dozovic says something that is barely English before he & Tucker Knight leave. L

My Thoughts on SmackDown (6/27/17): Two Tickets to Paradise

We kick off the show with Daniel Bryan. He runs down the card for the night before being interrupted by Carmella & James Ellsworth. She calls SmackDown the land of injustice and says she was unjustly stripped of the Money in the Bank briefcase. She reiterates that the Money in the Bank match is no disqualifications and the winner is the first woman to gain possession of the case. She also adds that other people have interfered in the Money in the Bank match and the winners (Seth Rollins & Sheamus, as examples) didn't lose their briefcases. Bryan says she makes good points but stands by his decision. He asks the crowd if he should cancel the match and give Carmella the briefcase, which the crowd obviously rejects. Ellsworth says the crowd makes him sick and says Bryan is a puppet controlled by the crowd. He says he used to look up to Bryan, but that he is now a gutless coward who couldn't cut it in the ring so he faked his injury. Bryan says he should fire Ellsworth

My Thoughts on RAW (6/26/17): Balls to the Wall

We kick off the show with Roman Reigns. The crowd instantly breaks out in "We Want Strowman" chants before Reigns says Braun Strowman is a coward who attacked him after he had been knocked out by Samoa Joe. He accepts Strowman's challenge to face him in an Ambulance match at Great Balls of Fire, saying he's going to put him in that ambulance and drive him straight to hell. Suddenly, an ambulance pulls up next to the stage. Reigns goes to investigate and opens the back door, revealing...nothing. Strowman then comes out and attacks Reigns from behind. Strowman throws Reigns onto the stage and the two brawl. Reigns tries to Superman Punch Strowman off the edge, but Strowman catches him and throws him into the side of the ambulance. Strowman picks up Reigns and throws him into the back before the ambulance drives off. Elias Samson prepares to sing a song with Sheamus & Cesaro. It's a shame there's not a fourth person with them, then they could be the bar

My Thoughts on NXT (6/21/17): Moonrise

Peyton Royce with Billie Kay vs Ember Moon- The two lock up and trade holds before Moon lands on her feet off a hip toss and hits an arm drag & a dropkick. Moon follows up with a handspring forearm in the corner and goes to the top rope for the Eclipse, but Royce meets her there. Royce tries for a fisherman's superplex, but Moon shoves her down into the ref, allowing Billie Kay to yank Moon's arm down across the top rope. Royce follows up by throwing Moon through the turnbuckle into the ring post for a near fall. Royce does it again before the commercial break. We come back to Royce working on Moon's previously injured shoulder. Royce controls the match until Moon catches her with a forearm strike. Moon kicks away at Royce before hitting a springboard crossbody for a near fall. Moon hits a backbreaker and goes for the handspring forearm again, but Royce catches her with a spinning heel kick for a near fall. Royce goes for a running knee, but Moon avoids it and roll

My Thoughts on SmackDown (6/20/17): Little Vegan Hippie Baby

Before the show, Daniel Bryan tells several of the women that he's going to hear what Carmella & James Ellsworth have to say before making a decision on the controversial ending to the women's Money in the Bank ladder match. Carmella & James Ellsworth kick off the show. Ellsworth demands everyone stand up for her before Carmella welcomes us to the Fabulous Era of Carmella. She then addresses the controversy, saying it doesn't matter if she cheated to win the match. She says she has been overlooked since coming to SmackDown and that she's smart for not trying to "make history" and just trying to win. She says she won fair & square and gives examples of other people interfering in previous matches and nobody saying anything. She calls the internet trolls pathetic and says you can't break a rule that doesn't exist. She says that Daniel Bryan should make the right decision and allow her to keep the briefcase. Cut to backstage, where Dani

My Thoughts on RAW (6/19/17): Eat Your Heart Out, Lavar Ball

We kick off the show with Roman Reigns announcing his plans for SummerSlam. He says he can't be beaten one-on-one...unless you're Braun Strowman...or Seth Rollins...or Finn Balor. He actually lists off those three names, saying that they couldn't beat him one-on-one. He could've picked literally anyone and he chose three people who have clean pinfall victories over him in singles matches. Stupid idiot. He mentions that he retired the Undertaker at WrestleMania and says that Taker respects him because he beat him before saying that he wants to challenge the Universal Champion at SummerSlam because this is his yard and he makes the rules. He takes a shot at Samoa Joe during this, calling him "that guy they call Joe."  This brings out Joe, who mentions that Reigns has never beaten him, which Reigns responds to by saying he's "just Joe." This prompts Joe to headbutt Reigns and throw him around ringside. Joe tries for the Coquina Clutch, but Reig

My Thoughts on NXT (6/14/17): Fool's Gold

Drew McIntyre vs Rob Ryzin- McIntyre starts off with a backdrop, which Ryzin follows up with one of his own. Ryzin shoves McIntyre, so McIntyre floors him with a big boot. McIntyre follows up with a huge belly-to-belly suplex, which Ryzin responds to with a superkick, but McIntyre kicks out at one. McIntyre comes back with a suplex throw before hitting a corner forearm and a diving axe handle. Ryzin slaps McIntyre, so McIntyre beats him down in the corner before putting him on the top rope and shoving him down to the outside. McIntyre throws Ryzin back in the ring before hitting the Claymore for the three and the win. Next week, Ember Moon returns to the ring to face Peyton Royce. The Authors of Pain with Paul Ellering vs Anthony Dominguez & Wilmer Freyday- Akam instantly destroys both men as Rezar steps off the apron to talk to Ellering. Akam throws Freyday out of the ring before hitting a fireman's carry slam for the quick win. After the match, Rezar brings Freyday back

My Thoughts on SmackDown (6/13/17): Needs A Mask

We kick off the show with the New Day, who come out to a special entrance with a band. They say they had to make an entrance New Orleans, for the home of WrestleMania before saying they'll defeat the Usos at Money in the Bank and win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. They are interrupted by the Usos, who say they'll retain the titles before being interrupted by Breezango, who say the Usos' Day One is not H, it's G for gross. They are interrupted by the Colons, who call Breezango the worst detectives ever and say their fashion sense is horrible. They say they didn't trash the Fashion Police Department, but they're going to trash them.  The New Day & Breezango with Big E vs The Usos & The Colons- Jimmy Uso tells Kofi to start...just so he can tag out to Epico. Kofi & Epico go back and forth before Kofi hits a back elbow for a near fall. Woods tags in for a sliding clothesline and a diving elbow drop for a near fall before Fandango tags in. Fa

My Thoughts on RAW (6/12/17): I Need A Cigarette

We kick off the show with Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman. Heyman says today is Samoa Joe's day of reckoning and Brock Lesnar will administer it. Heyman says he showed Joe respect last week, only for Joe to attack him unprovoked. He says Lesnar now has a problem with Joe that he plans to solve  He says he thought Samoa Joe was the worst case scenario and says Joe is the only Samoan that all the other Samoan want nothing to do with. He says Joe will never be able to lock in the Coquina Clutch on Brock Lesnar before Joe comes out. Lesnar challenges Joe to get in the ring, which Joe does. The two go face to face before Joe headbutts Lesnar. The two brawl before Kurt Angle runs out and sends security & referees to separate them. Lesnar & Joe easily get rid of them, so Angle brings out the entire RAW roster to separate them. Elias Samson sings a song about how Louisiana sucks and Dean Ambrose. He is interrupted by Ambrose because they have a match. Elias Samson vs Dean Ambr
