NXT Takeover: Dallas Predictions

With WrestleMania 32 right around the corner, everyone is hyped for NXT Takeover: Dallas. With six matches on the card featuring 13 of NXT's best (remember, f*ck the Drifter), Takeover: Dallas is all set to blow away WrestleMania 32 in quality. Here are my predictions for the show. Match #1: Austin Aries vs Baron Corbin Winner: Austin Aries With Austin Aries now under contract, NXT's roster just got a whole lot stronger. As for this match, I'm going with an Aries win, because it wouldn't make much sense to bring him in as a huge signing only to immedatley lose to Corbin Match #2: The Revival (c) vs American Alpha-NXT Tag Team Championships Winner: American Alpha Despite my initial thoughts that The Revival were just transitional champs, they've been able to hold the NXT Tag Team Championships since October. However, I think that American Alpha will be taking the titles from them in Dallas. They're way too hot right now too not put the belts on the

Worst in the World: Team WCW vs nWo Wolfpac vs nWo Hollywood-Fall Brawl 1998

Leave it to WCW to have not one, but TWO great concepts and manage to f*ck both of them up at the same time. In 1998, the nWo split into two rival factions, the face nWo Wolfpac, led by Kevin Nash, and the heel nWo Hollywood, led by Hollywood Hogan. That's right, the nWo had gotten so big and so out-of-control that the only thing left to do was an nWo vs nWo angle. This angle led to a three team, three way WarGames match between Team WCW (Diamond Dallas Page, Roddy Piper, and The Ultimate Warrior), the nWo Wolfpac (Kevin Nash, Sting, and Lex Luger), and the nWo Hollywood (Hollywood Hogan, Bret Hart, and Stevie Ray). In perfect WCW fashion, they managed to take arguably their most beloved match and over complicate it, kind of like how they did with their most beloved stable. Like in WarGames, one person from each team starts in the match, followed by a new person after five minutes, then one every two minutes. Once everyone has entered the cages, the match can only be won by s

Worst in the World: T&A vs Head Cheese-WrestleMania 2000

STEVE. F*CKING. BLACKMAN. Enough said. If you don't remember who Steve Blackman is...what the hell is wrong with you? Steve Blackman was this awesome dude who ran around doing martial arts and hitting people with stuff in his bag of weapons. He also pinned the Rock once. Basically, he is the coolest. So it is with great regret that he ends up on the Worst in the World. He shows up here to team with Al Snow in their short lived tag team Head Cheese (the greatest tag team in history, of course) to face Test and Albert, aka T&A, at WrestleMania 2000, a show that featured one singles match on the 10 match card...and it was a catfight. The match starts with incredibly fast paced offense between Blackman and Test, ending with crescent kick by Blackman. Snow tags in and works over Test until Albert hits him from behind Test clotheslines him. T&A beat down Snow and Albert pins, but Blackman breaks it up and casual walks back to his corner like a boss. Snow regains control wi

Kevin Owens Shut Down a Mexican Wave During the RAW Commercial Break in the Best Way

If you watched RAW last night, you probably noticed that the crowd couldn't have cared less for a 6-man tag match where Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, and Sin Cara beat Kevin Owens, The Miz, and Stardust. Whether it be that they didn't enjoy the match, didn't care for those involved, or were simply burned out from watching nearly six straight hours of wrestling, most of which wasn't very good, the crowd did just about everything to entertain themselves, doing things like starting random chants for wrestlers like CM Punk and Rob Van Dam. Now, if you're like me, you probably find this insanely annoying and distracting. Luckily for you and I, Kevin Owens didn't stand for it when fans started doing the Mexican Wave during the commercial break, as seen in this video taken by a fan . I honestly don't know what's better; that Stardust, who rarely breaks character, broke character to threaten to fight everyone, that everyone is just in agreement that Michael Col

Worst in the World: Shelton Benjamin vs Viscera-New Year's Revolution 2006

What happens when you put an incredibly talented but under-utilized wrestler in the ring with an awful but over-utilized wrestler? It ends up in this series. Today's entry takes a look at Shelton Benjamin vs Viscera at New Year's Revolution 2006. Benjamin was always considered one of the most underrated wrestlers in WWE during his time in the company, managing to snag the Wrestling Observer's Most Underrated award three straight times, the first wrestler to do so. Despite being incredibly talented, he never reached the main event in his seven year career. Viscera, on the other hand, managed to continue to be employed in WWE for years despite minimal talent. Debuting in the WWF in 1993 as Mabel, one half of the Men on a Mission, Viscera is best know for his horrendous King Mabel gimmick, which is commonly refereed to as the worst King of the Ring ever. Along with that, he's been described as incredibly reckless in ring and has a history of injuring wrestlers. Despite

My Thoughts on RAW (3/28/16): Eat the Wall

I was having the best game of Black Ops 3 Zombies of my life, then I realized it was 7:57 and that I had to get off because RAW was starting, so this show better be worth it. We kick off with the Undertaker. He says WrestleMania 32 will NOT be his last. He reiterates that Shane's blood is one Vince's hands, but Vince's blood will be on his. He says Shane will fight until the end and give it everything he's got, but that WrestleMania is his yard and Hell in a Cell is his house. He says Shane will rest in peace, and out comes Shane. He says he is the change that WWE's needed for a long time. He says whatever is left of him will be on RAW the next night, and he'll be in control. He says he will destroy Undertaker's legacy if he has too. Undertaker says Shane doesn't get to talk about his legacy, which prompts Shane to come to the ring. He says Taker's legacy died when Lesnar ended The Streak. Taker says Shane is just like Vince, and calls him Vinc

Worst in the World: Edge vs Triple H vs Vladimir Kozlov-Survivor Series 2008

Vladimir Kozlov is just one of the many wrestlers in WWE to be booked in angles and matches far beyond his ability. Debuting in April 2008, Kozlov squashed jobbers and went undefeated for 7 months before he was inserted into a three way feud with WWE Champion Triple H and Jeff Hardy. He was basically Ryback before Ryback. He was booked in a triple threat for the title at Survivor Series that year with Triple H and Hardy, and that would be the highest point of his career. He would get moved to ECW soon after, and eventually got teamed up with Santino Marella, which actually ended up being a good fit for him, until his release in 2011. Now you might have noticed that despite Hardy being in the feud and on the title card, that he's not listed in the title. That's because, for no reason whatsoever other than to further Jeff & Matt Hardy feud that we didn't know was happening yet, Hardy was written out of the match via a backstage attack that we didn't see. Also, you

EXPOSED!!! HOW HULK HOGAN BEAT GAWKER IN COURT!!! #WAKEUPSHEEPLE

By now you've most likely heard that Hulk Hogan was awarded $115 million in his lawsuit against Gawker. Many people assumed he won simply because it was an invasion of privacy...but that's not the case at all. I've spent the last 10 days doing extensive, hardcore research and I've discovered that Hogan's courtroom victory goes deeper than a simple invasion of privacy...much deeper. Ladies and gentleman, I present to you: The Hulk Hogan Conspiracy. I heavily suggest you listen to this music while reading this Earth-shattering information. Are you ready? Let's begin What do you really know about Hulk Hogan? What is Hulk Hogan? A professional wrestler Who wrestled for the WWE WWE has 10 million subscribers on YouTube. Which means they got a Diamond Play Button DIAMOND But it doesn't end there... What about Hogan's kids. Specifically, his daughter: Brooke Hogan What's a brook? A small stream of water Kind of like a

Worst in the World: Hollywood Hogan vs The Giant-Souled Out 1997

"Wait, didn't he already do Hogan vs The Giant?" is something you might be asking. Well, I did, but because these two have such anti-chemistry that they showed up twice together on the list. Taking place five and a half months after their snooze-fest at Hog Wild, Hogan & The Giant squared off again at nWo Souled Out, another WCW pay-per-view with a dumb concept. The idea was a pay-per-view with nWo biased commentary, ring announcing, interviewing, (an immediately cool) set, and referees, and they spent the night burying the WCW wrestlers. WCW held a pay-per-view where the basic theme was "WCW sucks" Man, I wonder why this company went out of buisness? Also, why would Hogan even defend the belt on this show? Why is the nWo voluntarily giving someone an opportunity to win their belt from them. This whole show makes no sense Match starts with lots of circling before Giant starts chopping Hogan and Hogan leaves the ring. Giant chases him, but Hogan catche
