Worst in the World: Jim Duggan vs Big Boss Man-Royal Rumble 1990

So, we've got Hacksaw Jim Duggan taking on the Big Boss Man. so I'm assuming either Duggan wins or there's a double count out brawl to the back. That's pretty much how every Jim Duggan match I've ever seen has gone. Let's just get into this.
The two trade punches before Duggan clotheslines Boss Man out of the ring and pumps up the crowd. Boss Man pulls Duggan out, but Duggan delivers a flurry of punches before trying to ram Boss Man into the ring post. Boss Man reverses it and sends Duggan into the ring post, but Duggan dodges Boss Man and causes him to hit the post shoulder first. Back in the ring, Duggan works over Boss Man's shoulder before Boss Man reverses an Irish whip and hits a splash in the corner. Duggan catches Boss Man's foot on a kick, but Boss Man counters that with an impressive enziguri.
Boss Man continues to punch Duggan down and work him over, but Duggan continues to get up after everything. Duggan eventually fights back, but his comeback attempt is cut off by a knee by Boss Man. So after almost 4 MINUTES of an almost uninterrupted beatdown by Boss Man, Boss Man locks in a BEARHUG! Jesus, this is boring. Duggan finally fights back and clotheslines Boss Man out of the ring again. Back in the ring, Duggan punches away Boss Man before Boss Man clothesline him to the ground. Boss Man tries for a top rope splash, but Duggan moves out of the way before doing the most contrived double knockdown spot ever. Duggan & Boss Man barely touch yet they both go down.
Both men get up, only for Boss Man's manager Slick to grab Duggan so Boss Man can hit him. Duggan dodges and Boss Man hits Slick, but Boss Man grabs his nightstick and hits Duggan to get disqualified. After the match, Duggan takes his 2x4 and clears the ring.

The Verdict

It started off fine, only quickly turn into a beyond boring match. Boss Man dominated for the majority of the match without doing anything interesting, and there was a f*ck finish. Poor.

Worst in the World: The Last Rites Match-TNA Destination X 2007

An often discussed aspect of professional wrestling is the backstage politicking of Hulk Hogan. Throughout his career as a major attraction in wrestling, Hogan's philosophy has always been to protect Hulk Hogan...OK, sometimes he'd help Ed Leslie, but most of the time it was to protect Hulk Hogan. Because of that philosophy and Hogan's influence as a top guy, there have been multiple instances where a company's booking and other wrestlers have suffered as a result. Would having Mr. Perfect win the 1990 Royal Rumble made sense and could have elevated a rising star and potentially created a new main event player? Yes, but that would require Hogan to not win, and that doesn't work for Hogan, so he wins the Rumble even though he doesn't need elevating. Would booking Randy Orton to beat Hogan at SummerSlam 20

Worst in the World: D-Generation X vs Brothers of Destruction-Crown Jewel

This match didn't need to happen. After Triple H and the Undertaker had one of the most brutally bad matches of 2018 at Super Show-Down not even a month earlier, nobody wanted to see them try to wrestle again. Also, nobody wanted to see Shawn Michaels come out of retirement after his fantastic sendoff in 2010, especially for a match like this. But here we are, Triple H & Shawn Michaels facing The Undertaker & Kane in 2018. The combined ages of these four at the time is 206. That's a number you'd expect to see from a match at Heroes of Wrestling. And anyone can come up with their own reason as to why this match is happening, but that would just be ignoring the actual reason. For those of you who don't know, Crown Jewel was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. That might not seem like important information, but you can't really discuss this match without mentioning it.
