- By the way, we are still at WrestleMania Axxess
- Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady vs American Alpha-The crowd is already going insane for this match before it even starts, chanting "This is Awesome" right at the start of the match. Gable and Enzo start and Gable takes control by taking Enzo to the ground. Gable shows off how fast he is, easily working Enzo over with quick reversals, transitions, and roll ups. American Alpha take turns working over Enzo with holds and wrestling takedowns until Enzo grabs the ropes off an Irish whip and makes the tag to Big Cass, who steps in the ring before the commercial break. We come back with Cass scoop slamming Enzo onto Jason Jordan for a two count. American Alpha quickly regain control, however, after a big arm drag by Gable. After a nasty looking head-to-head collision between Enzo and Gable, Enzo tags in Cass, who works over Gable. The two take it to Gable, including Enzo's nice mini bulldog to stop Gable from making a tag. Cass impressively lifts Gable into a gorilla press slam while holding him in a wristlock, and keeps the hold on after the slam. It was so nice that he did it again. Gable is able to avoid a corner splash by Cass and makes the hot tag to Jordan. IT'S JASON JORDAN HOT TAG TIME, BITCHES! Jordan runs wild, hitting Enzo with a massive exploder suplex, but Cass saves Enzo by running in front of Jordan's shoulder into the corner. Enzo goes for a middle rope diving DDT, but Jordan catches him and belly-to-belly suplexes him, barely eve having to fall back. Hilariously, Jordan pulls his singlet straps back up (he pulls them down for the shoulder in the corner) just so he can pull them back down to the shoulder in the corner to Enzo. American Alpha hit Grand Amplitude for the win. Great match, so much fun.
- Backstage "Just Happy to Be Here" Apollo Crews says he doesn't like bullies, so he doesn't like Samoa Joe. He says Samoa Joe can do great things, but so can he, and he'll show him in their match.
- Alexander Wolfe vs No Way Jose-In his debut on NXT, it's No Way Jose, sporting a blindingly white attire:
His name does lead to possibly the quote of the year from Corey Graves
"Who is this Jose and why is he always being denied?"-Corey Graves, 2016
That line was so good even Tom Phillips laughed. What No Way Jose's in ring styles? Dancing. Lots of dancing, including reversing a wristlock by spinning Wolfe like you'd spin a dance partner and pulling him back into a headlock. He follows this up with an airplane spin, which Wolfe protests by yelling (and I'm dead serious) "NEIN NEIN NEIN!" Because he's German, you see. Funny enough, Jose gets dizzy during the airplane spin, stops spinning to compose himself, yells "ALRIGHT, I'M GOOD!" and continues spinning before hitting a rolling senton. Wolfe is able to take control by throwing Jose into the turnbuckle, but Jose regains control with an arm drag. Jose finishes off Wolfe with a straight punch for the win. Jose's got some funny spots, specifically the airplane spin, but he definitely needs a better finisher.
- Backstage, Alex Reyes interviews Austin Aries, who responds to Baron Corbin saying he got lucky at Takeover: Dallas. Aries says he doesn't believe in luck, and that he'll fight anyone.
- Backstage, the Drifter (f*ck) is playing his guitar when William Regal sits down next to him. He says he doesn't know what Samson wants (no one does. No even knows what he is) and tells him he faces Shinsuke Nakamura next week, so next week will be the end of the Drifter, it was not nice knowing him, I wish I could black out any memory of him from my brain.
- Nia Jax vs Deonna Purrazzo-I kind of feel bad for Deonna Purrazzo. Like, not really, because she's working in WWE, so that's good for her, but like...in a kayfabe way, I feel bad for her. It seems like the only time she gets to wrestle is when she has to fight Nia Jax or Asuka, or occasionally Emma, and she gets killed everytime. Even the commentators acknowledged it, too. I want her to win...I'm not sure why, but I want her to win. So yeah...Nia Jax beats Deonna easily. End of match.
- Backstage, Bayley gets interviewed about Asuka vs Eva Marie next week. Bayley tells Asuka not to look past Eva, and beating her is tougher than it looks.
- Apollo Crews vs Samoa Joe-Match kicks off with a bunch of holds. They throw up an ad card for upcoming NXT live events, including one in Lowell, Massachusetts:
Don't worry, though, I'm sure nothing important happened there. I mean, come on, it's a house show. More holds until Joe fights out and punches Crews back into the corner. Crews is able to mount some momentum before the commercial break. We come back with the two exchanging strikes before Joe hits a corner splash followed by an enziguri. Joe cuts off any attempts Crews makes at a comeback, shouldering a rebounding Crews to the ground. Joe runs through Crews, hitting an atomic drop, followed by a big boot, and followed by a running senton for a two count. Crews is able to block a suplex attempt and counters with a suplex of his own. Crews runs wild, hitting a corner splash and a jumping clothesline, followed by an enziguri and a standing moonsault for a two count. Joe catches a rebounding Crews and plants him with a power slam. The two go back and forth again before Crews nails Joe with a bicycle kick. Crews goes for the spin-out powerbomb, but Joe reverses it with a snapmare and hits his corner STO. Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch for the submission win. Great match, one of Crews' best in WWE
And that's about it, overall, good show. American Alpha vs Enzo & Cass and Joe vs Crews were both great.
