Worst in the World: Roman Reigns vs The Undertaker-WrestleMania 33

At WrestleMania XXX, the impossible happened. Brock Lesnar delivered a third F-5 to the Undertaker and made the cover. 1. 2. 3. Lesnar won. 21-1 flashed on the big screen of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The Streak is over. After Lesnar triumphantly leaves the ring, a war-torn Undertaker stays in the ring, soaking in the admiration of the fans as "Thank You, Taker" chants rain down upon him. The commentators give him a standing ovation. It's the perfect send-off for one of the greatest performers in the history of WWE... WrestleMania 31 Survivor Series 2015 WrestleMania 32 Royal Rumble 2016 Yeah...the Undertaker didn't retire after WrestleMania XXX. What probably should've been the final time we saw Taker step in the ring ended up being just a match. And while his performance against Lesnar can be chalked up to the concussion he suffered early in the match, his matches after WrestleMania XXX are...not good. They aren't all bad; his two matches with Lesnar in 20...

Worst in the World: Alexa Bliss vs Bayley-Extreme Rules 2017

Even though she's seen a lot of success under her current heel gimmick, it's hard to argue that WWE didn't bungle the main roster run of Bayley early on. In NXT, Bayley was one of the cornerstones that elevated women's wrestling not just on the yellow brand, but throughout the entire company. She's been involved in some of the greatest women's matches the company has ever had against the likes of Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Asuka. Bayley is so good that she got genuinely great matches out of Nia Jax and Eva Marie. That's how good she is. On top of that, her character was perfect for the PG audience. It should've been a slam dunk. And yet, as WWE tends to do with can't miss talents...they missed. It started out pretty good. Bayley debuted in the summer of 2016 and by February 2017, she became the Raw Women's Champion. She'd defend that title past WrestleMania until...this feud. Alexa Bliss earned a title shot against Bayley at Payback......

Worst in the World: Jinder Mahal vs Randy Orton-Battleground 2017

( NOTE: Before I start this post, I wanted to give my condolences to the family and friends of Brodie Lee. He was an incredible wrestler and, from everything I've seen and heard, an incredible man, friend, and father. He will be missed.) How did this happen? On April 18, 2017, Jinder Mahal became the #1 contender for the WWE Championship. On May 21st, Mahal beat Randy Orton to win the WWE Championship. This came after Mahal had been little more than a jobber for three years before being released from the company and returning in 2016...where he continued to job until this match. And that is quite literally what happened. The week before Mahal earned his title shot, he lost in under three minutes to Mojo Rawley. He went from jobber to main eventer in the span of seven days. Now, telling the tale of a lower-level wrestler's sudden rise to the top isn't impossible. ECW did it with Mikey Whipwreck pretty successfully. There is a story you can tell here. However, that's not ...
