Welcome to another classic pay-per-view review. Last time, I took a look at WrestleMania II , a show that featured lots of bad wrestling, bad commentating, and even some bad boxing. This time, I fast forward a year to WrestleMania III, the show that saw over 93,000 people (allegedly) pack into the Pontiac Silverdome to see Hulk Hogan defend the WWF Championship against the undefeated Andre the Giant. Along with that, WrestleMania III saw the "retirement match" of Roddy Piper, one of the greatest matches of all time, and most importantly...tiny entrance rings. Oh yeah. Let's get right into it, this is WrestleMania III. We kick off the show with Vince McMahon welcoming us to WrestleMania III, live from the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan. He then throws to Aretha Franklin, who sings "America the Beautiful." With the first WrestleMania and the Wrestling Classic in the books, it's time to take a look at what some consider to be the worst WrestleMania of all time; WrestleMania 2. Proving that bigger doesn't always mean better, WrestleMania 2 took a unique approach and emanated from three different locations in one night. Of course, unique doesn't always mean good, and with the roster split across three venues, the show leaves a lot to be desired. Let's get into this, this is WrestleMania 2. Part 1: New York We kick off the show at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. Vince McMahon welcomes us to WrestleMania II before introducing us to his fellow commentator for the night, Susan Saint James. Welcome to another classic WWF pay-per-view review. Last time I took a look at the very first WrestleMania, and this week, I take a look at the Wrestling Classic, featuring a 16-man tournament. There are fifteen matches on this card...God help me. So without further ado, let's get into this. We kick off with Vince McMahon welcoming us to the Wrestling Classic, live from the Rosemont Horizon in Rosemont, Illinois. He goes over to a big bracket board with Lord Alfred Hayes and his lady friend to run down the matches. We then go to Mean Gene Okerlund with WWF President Jack Tunney. If you've ever wondered what "deer in the headlights" looks like, just look at Tunney during this interview. Tunney says he's excited for the show tonight before Mean Gene suggests running down the rules of the tournament. Tunney says the only rule is "you must win to move forward." Mean Gene adds that if there is a draw, both men are eliminated. Back to Vince, who throws...

Welcome to my first classic pay-per-view review. What I've decided to do is do a classic pay-per-view review every Sunday when there isn't a new one that Sunday. Today I take a look at the first ever WrestleMania from the Madison Square Garden. With that being said, let's get into this. The commentators Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse "The Body" Ventura kick off by welcoming us to the first ever WrestleMania. Before the show starts, we get a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner by Mean Gene Okerlund...it's not very good. Mean Gene asks the crowd to sing along with him, which I'm fairly certain is the exact opposite of what you're supposed to do during the Star Spangled Banner. From here, you can see that the crowd is not lit well whatsoever. There were over 19,000 people at this show, but it looks like there were barely 2,000 tops based on the way this was lit.
