RAW vs Nitro #66 (1/20/97)

Welcome back to another edition of RAW vs Nitro! Click here to read last week's edition or click here to catch up on all the previous ones . So with that out the way, this is RAW vs Nitro #66. As always, let's start with RAW... But first! A quick recap of the Royal Rumble 1997, which happened the night before this episode of RAW In a dark-match, the team of Perro Aguayo Jr. and Venum defeated the team of Maniaco and Mosco de la Merced. In another dark-match, the team of Blue Demon Jr., Octagon, and Tinieblas Jr. defeated the team of Abismo Negro, Heavy Metal, and Histeria (Super Crazy) On the Free for All, the team of Mascarita Sagrada Jr and La Parkita (Octagoncito) defeated Mini Mankind & Mini Vader Hunter Hearst Helmsley retained the Intercontinental Championship against Goldust. Helmsley would debut the returning Mr. Hughes as his bodyguard. Hughes would assist Helmsley during the match, pulling him out of the ring and preventing a pin by Goldust before Hel

RAW vs Nitro #65 (1/13/97)

Welcome back to another edition of RAW vs Nitro! Click here to read last week's edition or click here to catch up on all the previous ones . So with that out the way, this is RAW vs Nitro #65. As always, let's start with RAW... RAW Marc Mero & Goldust with Sable & Marlena vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley & Jerry Lawler RAW opens with the follow up to the Helsmley's attempted kidnapping of Marlena two weeks ago. Also, the Honky Tonk Man is on commentary looking for his protege. He provides nothing important to this match. Naturally, Goldust wastes no time getting the match started, rushing the ring and starting a brawl with Helmsley. Mero follows suit and brawls with Lawler, ending with the babyfaces sending the heels packing. Goldust's spends the majority of the match on the apron, rushing into the ring multiple times when Helmsley tags in. Meanwhile, Helmsley quickly flees and tags out whenever Goldust tags in. The babyfaces dominate the match early,

RAW vs Nitro #64 (1/6/1997)

Welcome back to another edition of RAW vs Nitro! Click here to read last week's edition or click here to catch up on all the previous ones . So with that out the way, this is RAW vs Nitro #64. As always, let's start with RAW... RAW RAW opens with Vader standing two inches from the camera, saying that tonight, Bret Hart will find out that it's Vader time. Owen Hart with Clarence Mason vs Mankind with Paul Bearer Right off the bat, Hart hits a belly-to-belly suplex before beating down Mankind and nearly locks in the Sharpshooter, only for Mankind to quickly get to the ropes. Mankind responds by pulling at Hart's face and beating him down in the corner. Hart then tries to neutralize the Mandible Claw, biting and stomping on Mankind's hand until both of them fly out of the ring off a Cactus Clothesline. Mankind tries to hit Hart with a chair, but Hart counters by hitting Mankind with his Slammy Award in plain view of the referee. No DQ, for some reason,
