Anytime a wrestling promoter sets up a big, historic, marquee match, there has to be one thought that always creeps up in the back of their mind. After all the build, all the hype, and all the time that went into making the match feel like a big deal...what if the match just sucks? All that effort...just for the match to be bad. And by that, I don't mean matches that were underwhelming like AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania 34, which is a fine match on its own, but given the history between the two (and the fact that they had put on a Match of the Year contender at Wrestle Kingdom 10 just over two years prior), it was hard to come away from that match without think "well...that could've been better."
