My Thoughts on RAW (2/29/16): What Should Have Been

We're still on the Road to WrestleMania 32, and it seems to have gotten a little smoother. With the great RAW last week featuring the return of Shane McMahon and Triple H demolishing Roman Reigns, it was going to be interesting to see where WWE went after that. Without further adieu, here are my thoughts on this weeks RAW. We kick off the show with Triple H. He talks about authority and authority figures. He says everyone hates their authority figure, but won't stand up to them because they are afraid. He says that fear is what keeps everyone in their place. He says Roman Reigns should have stayed in his place. Triple H pauses for the non-existent Roman Reigns chants, because this isn't going well for WWE. Outcomes Dean Ambrose, which gives us what should have been the main event of WrestleMania, Dean Ambrose vs Triple H. Ambrose says he got off the phone with Reigns, he says he said "Hi" and he's coming for him. Triple H calls him a the Best Supporting A

I Have a Second Blog Now!

Hey everyone, it's CJ. You know, the guy writing this. Anyway, as you can tell from reading this blog, this blog is 100% about professional wrestling. However, I do actually like other things, and I want to write about that stuff too. However, since I have pretty much built this blog solely on wrestling posts, I don't want to crowd it with non-wrestling posts, or post a bunch of stuff that my readers (you) don't care about. That's why I've made a second blog called Where I Stand on Whatever. That's where I'll be posting things such as non-wrestling rants, movie reviews, book reviews, and more. If you're interested in non-wrestling stuff (which I'm assuming you are, I can't imagine anyone who likes nothing but wrestling.), go check it out! Be sure to share it around if you enjoy it!

Worst in the World: Kaitlyn vs Maxine-NXT (10/19/10)

If there was an image to sum up Season 3 of NXT, it would be this: Back before NXT was the best wrestling product in the world, it was a terrible faux-reality type show where wrestlers from Florida Championship Wrestling competed for a spot on the main roster. It sucked, and Season 3 was arguably the worst season. Considering how only one of the competitors had wrestling experience prior to WWE (AJ), the wrestling was sub par, and took a backseat to competitions. And the worst of the bunch was a dreadful match between Kaitlyn and Maxine. Taking place on October 19th, 2010, it's pretty clear that these two needed a lot of work if they were going to be on the main roster. Like...A LOT of work. So the match hasn't even started yet, and there's already four things wrong with this match. 1. Maxine looks absolutely terrified to be wrestling right now: That's not good 2. Kaitlyn is wrestling in a hoodie: Why? Do you really care? 3. Someone thought it was

Worst in the World: Scott Steiner vs Sid Vicious vs Jeff Jarrett vs Road Warrior Animal

Oh boy, we are in the final months of WCW, so this should be a doozy. WCW is literally two months away from going out of buisness, and it shows with Sin. Aside from three of the four people in this match, Goldberg, Flair, and Sting, there's no one here even worth pushing. They were so strapped for talent that Road Warrior Animal (yeah, ROAD WARRIOR ANIMAL) somehow weaseled his way into a WCW World Championship match. He goes up against champion Scott Steiner, Sid Vicious, and Jeff Jarrett in the main event. Which is weird, because both Flair and Sting didn't have a match on the card, but they were still like "nah, put one half of the Road Warriors in". Anyway, this match is most notable for one moment, and that's when Sid breaks his leg mid match, so that's not going to be fun to see. I can't really put this off any longer, so here it is. So, for starters, Animal doesn't actually start in the match. After Michael Buffer's unnecessarily long

My Thoughts on NXT (2/24/16): Jason Jordan: Suplex King

(Sorry I haven't posted at all in the last three days, I've been super busy with school. Everything should be back to normal) Another week, another NXT. Here are my thought's on Wednesday's episode :  American Alpha vs Blake & Murphy- First off, Murphy yells "THIS IS OUR TIME TO GET THOSE TAG TEAM TITLES BACK!" before he faces the non-champions in a non-title match. Come one, man. Gable and Murphy start with Gable & Jordan showing off their amateur wrestling skills, followed by a few arm drags and wrist locks. Blake tags in, and is immediately caught with a few belly to back suplex. Blake goes for one of his own, but Gable lands on his feet and hits a spinning arm drag, flying head scissors, and another incredible arm drag. God, Gable is just so incredible. The fact that he's this good this early in his career is amazing, and I seriously bet he could be WWE World Heavyweight Champion one day. Murphy tags in, and Gable works over the arm ag

My Thoughts on RAW (2/22/16): Here Comes the Money!

We're on the Road to WrestleMania, and boy is it going to be a bumpy road. The top babyface is getting booed out of the building everywhere he goes, and the top heel is being cheered. Let's see if WWE can successfully pull this together, and it starts here on RAW. Here are my thoughts on tonight's RAW. Prior to the show, they show Dean Ambrose arriving at RAW. He gets attacked by Brock Lesnar in the parking garage, and gets slammed on top of a limo's front window. Ambrose got stretchered out and into an ambulance. Vince McMahon comes down to give out the Vince McMahon Sr. Legacy of Excellence Award. At this point I'm thinking "this is either going to Stephanie, Triple H, or Vince himself." McMahon gives a history of his family, and gives the award to...Stephanie of course. I know they did it to get heat, but this segment reeks of Stephanie's idea. If it makes her look good, she probably wrote it. Stephanie name drops Roman Reigns, and he gets bo

Worst in the World: Steve McMichael vs Brian Adams-Road Wild 1998

Just to clarify, that is NOT Brian Adams the singer, but that would be really funny to see that guy get in the ring with...anyone. Nope, this Brian Adams is better known as Crush, aka the guy who replaced Ax in Demolition, and as Kona Crush, who had a feud with Doink the Clown because Doink was, to quote OSW Review, "MAKING KIDS CRY, BRAH". And to make this even better he is going up against STEVE MCMICHAEL, aka MONGO. If you don't know, Mongo was a former football player, and went to become one of the most hilariously bad wrestling commentators ever. Like, so bad. He eventually became a wrestler and a member of the Four Horsemen, despite not being a good wrestler. Mongo faced Brian Adams at Road Wild 1998. You remember Road Wild, right? The WCW pay-per-view at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally where they could bring in money at the gate. This is just a beautiful mess of bad idea after bad idea. But let's get to the actual match. The two lock up, Mongo backs Adams int

What's The Point?

I was all prepared to write a "Let's Rant" about Roman Reigns winning at Fastlane, and WWE's complete ignorance to the fact that he is getting booed out of the building at every pay-per-view now. But then I realized something...why should I? Like, what's the point? Believe me, I'm not the only person who goes online and voices his grievances with the WWE product, but there really is just no point in doing it. Let's go back in time a bit. January 25th, 2015: the day of the 2015 Royal Rumble. Roman Reigns gets booed out of the building by a rabid Philadelphia crowd. He overcomes the two-on-one disadvantage of Big Show and Kane, and gets booed out of the building. He overcomes the surprise attack by Rusev, wins the Royal Rumble, and gets booed out of the building. He gets endorsed by The Rock, one of the biggest, greatest, and most popular superstars in WWE history. He gets booed out of the building. At this point, you'd think WWE realize their mista

Fastlane 2016 Predictions

After a successful Royal Rumble, we are one pay-per-view away from WrestleMania. All that's left in between is Fastlane, a show that last year had only one decisive win on a seven match card, and that of course was by Roman Reigns. Hopefully this year they can right their wrong and put on a good show. Here are my predictions for the show this Sunday. Pre-Show 1. Kalisto (c) vs Alberto Del Rio-2-out-of-3 Falls-United States Championship Winner: Kalisto In one of the many rubber matches on this card, Kalisto defends the United States Championship against Alberto Del Rio in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match. Despite putting on fairly good matches, it's been done to death and has very little interest. I'm going with Kalisto, because I think it would be a terrible idea to take the title off of him at the moment, especially if they're going to put it back on Del Rio Main Card 1. AJ Styles vs Chris Jericho Winner: AJ Styles I know I've said this before (like, a l

My Thoughts on NXT (2/17/16): The One With a Double Finish...Again

( All photos belong to WWE and the WWE Network) Well, another week, another NXT. Here are my thoughts on last night's episode Enzo & Cass and American Alpha vs. Dash & Dawson and Blake & Murphy: Man, it's so refreshing to see a wrestling show kick off with wrestling. Take notes, RAW. First off, quick commentary gaff. Corey Graves says that "even though we're on a college campus " Enzo & Cass "butcher the English language" since they were taping at the CFE arena on the University of Central Florida campus. But they're always on a college campus. Why is this one different? I guess Full Sail University doesn't count as a college in Corey Graves' mind. Chad Gable and Scott Dawson start off, with Gable showing off his amateur wrestling skills. God, this guy is the absolute best. All 8 men enter the ring for a brawl, ending with the heels getting tossed over the top rope. It goes to commercial, with Blake putting Gable in a h

Worst in the World: John Cena vs John Laurinaitis-Over the Limit 2012

John Cena is basically considered the greatest human being that's ever lived by WWE. He's a 15 time world champion, main-evented WrestleMania 5 times, does so much charity work you might as call it "John Cena Work",and is presented as a morally upstanding human being who would never do anything even remotely wrong and is holier than thou. However, anyone who's watched WWE for longer than a year can see that John Cena is, in all honesty, a dick. Now, I don't mean real-life John Cena, the guy does a lot of work for charity (which is a great thing), I mean the character John Cena is a dick. On RAW, he frequently allows his friends to be demolished, doesn't show anyone respect until he beats them, and makes juvenile jokes about his opponents and doesn't take them seriously. Remember a few months ago when he stopped his UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH with Dolph Ziggler to congratulate a couple who just got engaged in the crowd? How about how he'd l
