Since the brand split in 2016, Survivor Series has become WWE's yearly event where RAW and SmackDown superstars square off, all in the name of brand superiority. Admittedly, the allure of brand warfare has been snuffed out due to how often the show's rosters change (and the ill-fated Wild Card rule), but back when the new brand split first started, the new format for Survivor Series was still a fun idea. And considering how great the 2016 Survivor Series' Men's match was, you'd be forgiven for having high hopes for the next year's installment. And low and behold, WWE brought out plenty of big boys for 2017. Four years. That's how long ago I started the Worst in the World. In that time, I've covered 111 matches...but this is the one I've wanted to cover for the longest time. Back when I made the original list for this series, I came up with 115 matches based on ratings from Dave Meltzer and winners of the Worst Match of the Year Award from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. What I didn't take into account was that quite a few of those matches were house show matches that I would never be able to find...but then there's this match. Unlike those random house show matches, this match was aired on television. It took place in 2006, so there should've been some video of it somewhere. Theoretically, I should've been able to watch this match with ease...but no. It was nowhere on YouTube, nowhere on Dailymotion...this match didn't exist anywhere on the Internet it seems. I probably could've found it if I had found some shady website that would've unloaded...

Hideo Itami vs Sean Maluta- Finally, Hideo Itami is back! Also, it's pretty cool that Maluta is getting a match on NXT TV after his very strong showing in the Cruiserweight Classic against Kota Ibushi. Itami takes control early on with strong kicks, including a funny dainty little kick after faking a knee drop. Maluta is able to take control off a second rope Codebreaker and goes to work on Itami with body scissors. Itami hulks up off some kicks by Maluta and runs wild, hitting a dragon screw and a corner big boot before striking Malutta down in the corner for a dropkick. Itami finishes Maluta off with a running knee strike and gets the three. Fine, quick match. Andrea DeMarco interviews The Revival. They say they don't claim to be the best tag team in the world, they are the best tag team in the world. They are interrupted by TM61, who say they are the best tag team in the world and challenge the Revival, who refuse and tell them to get to the back of the line. ...
