So with that out of the way, onto the post.) 1995 was a rough year for the WWF. With Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage gone, the company badly needs a new top babyface. The push for Lex Luger to take that spot flopped hard, so now Diesel has been the nod as the company's new front runner. But who will he face? Ric Flair is long gone by 1995, having returned to WCW. The Ludvig Borga experiment failed pretty quickly, Sycho Sid has been in and out of the company, and Yokozuna, while talented, is heavily hindered by his ever-growing weight issues. If you've never seen or heard anything about this match, then the above image might be very confusing to you. So let me just clear some things up real quick. No, this is not some kind of weird fever dream. You are not hallucinating, this is something that really happened in real life. This is the first ever (and only) "Hardcore Evening Gown match", contested by two men in their fifties for the Hardcore Championship. How could the WWE have possible thought of this? Well, let's go into a brief history lesson. Back in the late 90s, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco were part of the Corporation as Vince McMahon's "stooges". They were a duo of bumbling heels who would provide some very funny moments over the years. This was not one of them. You see, it all started when Brisco won the Hardcore Championship from Crash Holly with the help of Patterson in 2000. Welp...Mabel's back. It's been a while since the 500 pounder found his way onto the Worst in the World, but he's back and ready to be awful still. This time he goes up against the Undertaker, who is a lot better when he's facing smaller guys like Shawn Michaels, Jeff Hardy, or Kurt Angle, and not giants who can't really work too well like Giant Gonzales, Mark Henry, and...well. Mabel. They square off in a first round match up in the 1995 King of the Ring tournament. If your a WWE history buff like me, you probably already know who wins this infamous King of the Ring tournament, and therefore the match. If you aren't, well...be prepared. The match kicks off with Undertaker attempting to knock Mabel off his feet...and he succeeds. Kind of kills the importance of the "giant can't be knocked off his feet" spot if you do it within the first minute of the match. It would be like if Hulk Hogan bodyslammed Andre the Giant on the first attempt at Wrestl...

(Note: I couldn't find two of the matches on the list anywhere, so unless I find them, they're off the list. The two matches were the Reverse Battle Royal from TNA in 2006, and Lou Albano vs Freddie Blassie in 1985) Wrestling has seen a lot of different non-wrestlers step in the ring. From on screen personalities like Paul Heyman and Jim Ross, to pro athletes like Floyd Mayweather and Lawrence Taylor, to even actors like Seth Green and Stephen Amell. However, there is arguably no stranger competitor than...Head. If you remember, Head is a mannequin head that Al Snow carries around, talks to, and exists for a punch line (What does everybody want? What does everybody need?). It is an inanimate object. Outside of maybe that one time Shawn Michaels teamed up with God to face the McMahons, this is by far the strangest competitor in WWE history.
