There's the March 3rd, 1999 episode of Nitro, which the company decided to start off with, and I'm not exaggerating, zero matches for the ENTIRE FIRST HOUR of the show. Or there's the November 8th episode of Nitro that same year, which focused on a vacant World Heavyweight Championship tournament, and had only one of its 13 matches go longer than six minutes. And of course, there's the April 26th, 2000 episode of Thunder, a show infamous for David Arquette winning the world title.
