Usually, when I do entries in the Worst in the World, I'll cover a single match. Sometimes , I'll bust out a double feature . One time I took on three matches . Hell, I've even gone for four at once . But today, I'm going all out. Five matches in one post. And all of them come from Fall Brawl 1998, quite possibly the worst top-to-bottom wrestling show that has ever been put on by a major company. The average star rating for the matches on this show from Dave Meltzer is below a quarter of a star. The whole show; less than a quarter of a star. Not even some of the most notoriously bad pay-per-views have average match ratings that low. Uncensored 1996 with the Doomsday Cage ? Still higher. MONGO'S BACK! HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN! Yes, he's back for another match in the Worst in the World! What is there to really say about Mongo? He was an awful commentator, who went on to become an awful wrestler before finally leaving wrestling in 1999. He did, however, come full circle with his awfulness in 2008, when he did an awful job refereeing a 4 team Monster's Ball match at Bound For Glory IV. That's actually how he counted pins. Anyways, this time around he faces "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright, who might know for making a PROMISE to win if you picked him in WCW Thunder on the Nintendo 64 at Halloween Havoc 1997. It's Mongo, so it's got to be fun. Let's get into this. The two trade wristlocks to start before Mongo hits a bodyslam, followed by Wright rolling out of the ring to consult with his valet Debra. Wright gets the better end of the lock up and starts stomping away on Mongo's arm before Mongo turns the tables and knee drop...
