Worst in the World: The Boogeyman vs Booker T & Sharmell-WrestleMania 22

(NOTE: Just a reminder, this October I'm going to be going to a weekly schedule. With that out of the way, I hope you enjoy this week's Worst in the World!) Considering how brief his time in the company was and how silly his gimmick was, there was a time when it seemed WWE was really high on The Boogeyman. So much so that The Boogeyman was not just feuding with upper midcard wrestlers, and not only was he beating them, but he was actually dominating them. This starts with his first real feud with JBL, not even a year removed from a near-300-day reign as the WWE Champion. The Boogeyman would defeat him at the 2002 Royal Rumble in under two minutes. You would be hard-pressed to find another Ruthless Aggression midcarder who got booked that strong out the gate, and none with a gimmick as weird as The Boogeyman. Following his defeat of JBL, The Boogeyman would move on to his next feud, and the feud to kick off a Halloween-themed month for the Worst in the World, as he takes on Book...

Worst in the World: Booker T vs Buff Bagwell-Monday Night Raw (7/2/2001)

Hey everyone. Since this will be the last post before October, I wanted to announce that, like last year, I'll be going to a weekly schedule for October. Last year, I did "A Very WCW October", but this year, since it's the Halloween season, what better time of year to cover some matches that fit the Halloween spirit. These will be matches that either feature horror or horror-adjacent wrestlers, matches with horror-adjacent gimmicks, or matches set at Halloween-themed shows. I've had this planned out for a while, so I'm not gonna be doing the poll for this month, but that will resume for November. With that out of the way, I hope you enjoy this edition of the Worst in the World. On paper, Buff Bagwell seems like a guy who would've fit right in with the WWF. After he turned on his fellow American Male Scotty Riggs and joined the nWo, Marcus Bagwell would go from a pretty bland babyface to the incredibly vein and boastful Buff Bagwell. From there, Bagwell wou...

Worst in the World: Vince Russo Ruins Nitro

(Special thanks to Frost for suggesting these matches. If you'd like to see a match covered on the Worst in the World, leave a comment down below.) Vince Russo. What can you really say about Vince Russo that hasn't already been said thousands of times online before? He's the man who headed up the WWF's creative team during the most successful period in the company's history, but was also the head of WCW's creative team during their complete collapse. Some people see him as a creative genius that wrote some of the highest-rated segments in WWF history. Others see him as a terrible writer whose ideas led to the death of WCW. He's easily one of, if not the most polarizing figures in the history of professional wrestling. But even the most adamant Vince Russo supporters have to agree on one thing...Vince Russo should never have stepped foot in a wrestling ring. Vince Russo began appearing on screen for WCW in April 2000, and while Russo as an on-screen character...
