Considering how brief his time in the company was and how silly his gimmick was, there was a time when it seemed WWE was really high on The Boogeyman. So much so that The Boogeyman was not just feuding with upper midcard wrestlers, and not only was he beating them, but he was actually dominating them. This starts with his first real feud with JBL, not even a year removed from a near-300-day reign as the WWE Champion. The Boogeyman would defeat him at the 2002 Royal Rumble in under two minutes. You would be hard-pressed to find another Ruthless Aggression midcarder who got booked that strong out the gate, and none with a gimmick as weird as The Boogeyman.
