There are quite a few wrestlers who could be categorized as having come up through the business during the wrong time. Whether it be high work rate performers like X-Pac, Dean Malenko, or even Hakushi/Jinsei Shinzaki that would fit in seamlessly in today's thriving, high-energy independent scene, or giants like Omos that stick out amongst the fast-paced current landscape but could easily be slotted into a 1980s card as a Goliath for the babyface to topple.
