Worst in the World: Too Much vs Al Snow & Head-King of the Ring 1998

(Note: I couldn't find two of the matches on the list anywhere, so unless I find them, they're off the list. The two matches were the Reverse Battle Royal from TNA in 2006, and Lou Albano vs Freddie Blassie in 1985) Wrestling has seen a lot of different non-wrestlers step in the ring. From on screen personalities like Paul Heyman and Jim Ross, to pro athletes like Floyd Mayweather and Lawrence Taylor, to even actors like Seth Green and Stephen Amell. However, there is arguably no stranger competitor than...Head. If you remember, Head is a mannequin head that Al Snow carries around, talks to, and exists for a punch line (What does everybody want? What does everybody need?). It is an inanimate object. Outside of maybe that one time Shawn Michaels teamed up with God to face the McMahons, this is by far the strangest competitor in WWE history. In what is only one of two matches Head is in, he teamed with Snow to face Too Much, later known as Too Cool, with special guest refe...

RAW (2/15/16) Review: Win Owens Win

(All photos from WWE.com) A pretty...average RAW tonight. Aside from a new Intercontinental Champion, nothing really important happened. Let's get into the show: (Note: This review is written in real time while RAW is happening) The show kicks off with a Dean Ambrose promo. He says he's in for the fight of his life, and that sometimes you have to fight dirty when you need to. Ambrose calls out Brock Lesnar, only to get Stephanie McMahon. That's like calling out Stone Cold but getting Scotty 2 Hotty. Stephanie rips Ambrose for not being able to fight Lesnar on his own (she's right), and Ambrose says he just wants to fight. Stephanie says Ambrose is going to get a F-5 tonight...as in a Fatal 5-Way for the Intercontinental Championship. Ehh...it doesn't have ring as Fatal 4-Way. Also, if Reigns interferes, Ambrose is disqualified and out of the match at Fastlane, because Ambrose only matters if Roman Reigns is involved Dean Ambrose vs Kevin Owens vs Stardus...

Worst in the World: Vampiro vs Oklahoma-Starrcade 1999

There have been many gimmicks over the years in wrestling that have just been flat out insensitive. Characters like Eugene, Akeem, and Muhammad Hassan are all generally looked back on as horrible creations based on terrible stereotypes turned up to eleven. But in my opinion, the worst, most downright horrendously offensive character in wrestling is Oklahoma. Not just because it's making fun of a serious illness, but because it's directly making fun of a well respected wrestling figure with that illness. If you don't know, Oklahoma was played by Ed Ferrara, a writer from WWF who left with Vince Russo to WCW, and was a direct parody of Jim Ross and his Bell's palsy. Oklahoma (named after J.R.'s home state) would dress like J.R., talk like J.R., use J.R.'s catchphrase, and (worst of all) slanted his face so looked like he had Bell's palsy. It was disgusting, and both Ferrera and Russo have apologized for the character. So despite the fact that Ferrara ...

My Thoughts on NXT (2/10/16): BayMella Explodes!

Twitter Sorry this is so late, but here are my thoughts on this week's NXT. Also, I'm going to try to be a little more critical with these posts, mainly because I feel like the last few are too full of jokes and not a lot of actual analysis. I'm going to make jokes, but I'm just going to try to fit them in with a review. So, let's get to it. I absolutely love Baron Corbin's entrance, all the spotlights make him look like such a big deal. One fan yelled "JOHN CENA HAS MORE MOVES THAN YOU!" right when Corbin's music gets lower before the big white out with the titantron. It was almost as perfect as the death stare Corbin gives him afterwards: WWE Network Johnny Gargano's entrance theme might be the most generic sounding rock song in history. With a song like that, I'm surprised he doesn't wrestle in plain black gear and wrestle as "John Smith" I'm a huge fan of Gargano (he's actually the first wrestle...

16 Current Roster Wrestlers That Should Be Added For WWE 2K17

WhatCulture.com WWE 2K16 is only three and a half months old now, so it's about time to start talking about WWE 2K17. While 2K16 was a good game and huge step forward from the overall disappointment of 2K15, there are still improvements needed (specifically towards Career mode). One of the things 2K16 has boasted is the largest roster in WWE video game history. While that is true, there were still some omissions who were left out for less important stars (guys like...Savio Vega) or for some (to be frank) bullsh*t reasons (*cough cough* The Four Horsewomen *cough*). And along with the new members of the real life roster, 2K17's roster is gearing up to top 2K16's. Here, I'm going to give my 16 suggestions for the next game's roster. Without further ado, here are 16 current WWE wrestlers who should be added to WWE 2K17 16. Carmella WWE on YouTube  Since Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady made it into 2K16, it's only fitting that 2K add Carmella  to complet...

Worst in the World: Hiroshi Wajima vs Tom Magee-AJPW Champion Carnival 1988 (4/22/1988)

YouTube Let me tell you a story. Once upon a time (1986) there was a Canadian power lifter named Tom Magee, who decided to begin a wrestling career. He started off hot, with Dave Meltzer giving him high praise, saying he had "the greatest combination of strength and agility the business had ever seen". He signed with the WWF later that year, and had a great match with Bret Hart. He was destined for big things, even being considered the successor to Hulk Hogan. Then it all stopped. Seriously, he just got worse and worse in such a short time. Eventually, the fed stopped trying and shifted focus to another muscled up big guy: The Ultimate Warrior. Now instead of being synonymous with Hogan and Warrior, he's synonymous with Chris Harris and Nathan Jones as one of the biggest disappointments in WWE history. And his match with Hiroshi Wajima from All Japan Pro Wrestling in 1988 is proof why. The match starts with Magee getting the early advantage with some of the softes...

Worst in the World: Sting vs Jeff Hardy-Victory Road 2011

theinfamousjcity.wordpress.com Picture this; it's 2011, and TNA is holding their Victory Road pay-per-view, and they've just gotten to the main event. The main event is supposed to be Sting defending the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Hardy. Two of the biggest stars in wrestling today main eventing your show; what could possibly go wrong? A lot. Well...let's get into this. First off, whoever let Jeff Hardy record the music for his entrance theme should be fired immediately...forever. His distorted vocals are terrible, and the beat is one of those basic rock beats a middle schooler could make on GarageBand. The camera awkwardly holds on the stage for a good twenty seconds, before cutting away, then cutting back as Hardy stumbles out, 45 seconds after his music started. It's clear already that something is up with him; he's walking strange, he keeps putting is hands up his shirt, and he's doing weird stuff with his hands like he's Ricky B...
