Worst in the World: Hollywood Hogan vs Randy Savage-Halloween Havoc 1996

It's October 1996, and WCW is thriving. With the New World Order forming three months prior at Bash at the Beach, the now-Hollywood Hulk Hogan reclaiming the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and spray painting "nWo" on it the following month at Hog Wild, and Sting walking out on WCW the following month at Fall Brawl, the product is unbelievably hot. So much so that Monday Nitro was 17 weeks deep into their legendary 83-week winning streak in the ratings battle with the WWF's Monday Night Raw. This storyline was hitting, and WCW was looking to continue that hot streak with the main event of Halloween Havoc, with Hogan defending his World Heavyweight Championship against his former tag partner and longtime rival Randy Savage. Would this match create another iconic, memorable moment like the previous three pay-per-views?...Not really. This match, the first time Hogan and Savage would face off in a singles match since the WWF's "The Main Event III" in 1990...

A Worst in the World RE:MATCH: Los Villanos vs Los Psycho Circus-Triplemanía XXIII

NOTE: Hey everyone, I just wanted to remind everyone that there will still be a brand new Worst in the World tomorrow. With that out of the way, I hope you enjoy!) 300 entries in the Worst in the World. Back when I first started this series in 2016, I had a list of 99 matches to cover, almost exclusively covering one match in each post and mainly covering just WWE, WCW, and occasionally TNA. And now the list is three times as long, there are plenty more entries in the future, the number of matches covered in one post has gone as high as 14, and covered everything from new promotions, to classic failures, to even the most random companies. I genuinely cannot thank everyone enough for the support and the suggestions for new matches to cover. It means the absolute world to me. So, in honor of 300 entries, I'm going to try something new. About a year ago, I got a comment from a frequent commenter Frost about Los Villanos vs Los Psycho Circus from Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide's Triplem...

Worst in the World: The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Deathmatch-AEW Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen 2023 (Night 1)

The post you're about to read is an account of a tragedy that befell a group of eight wrestlers, in particular Jeff Hardy and his opponent Jeff Jarrett. It is all the more tragic that they were legends. But even having wrestled very, very many matches, they could not have expected nor would they have wished to see as much of the mad and macabre as they were to see that day. For them an idyllic Fight for the Fallen became a nightmare. The events of that show were to lead to the discovery of one of the most bizarre matches in the annals of wrestling history, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre...Deathmatch. Yeah, this one did not take long to get requested. In fact, it joins the very rare club of matches that got requested within 24 hours of it actually happening. And if there was ever a better time, it would be during Halloween month. So yeah, Jeff Hardy vs Jeff Jarrett in the first-ever "Texas Chain Saw Massacre Deathmatch" from Day 1 of Fight for the Fallen (which was split u...
