Worst in the World: World War 3: WCW's Most Unwatchable Match Type (Part 2: 1997-1998)

(Special thanks to Frost for suggesting these matches. If you'd like to see a match covered on the Worst in the World, leave a comment down below.) Last week, I began this look at World War 3 , WCW's attempt to establish a signature battle royal match (their own Royal Rumble, essentially), by looking at the 1995 and 1996 editions of the match. The 1995 match is a chaotic, cluttered, unfocused, and unwatchable mess of a match that knocked off the infamous Akira Maeda/Andre the Giant match that devolved into a shoot as the new Worst in the World. The World War 3 match was a three-ring battle royal, with a whopping 60 participants in the match. You thought the 2011 Royal Rumble and the Greatest Royal Rumble were bloated with 40 and 50 participants, respectively? Wait until you...
