Worst in the World: Rachael Evers vs Marti Belle-Mae Young Classic (Episode 2)

(Special thanks to E.Y.D for suggesting these matches. If you'd like to see a match covered on the Worst in the World, leave a comment down below.) In 2016, WWE held the Cruiserweight Classic, a unique tournament for the company, as most of the 32 participants were not signed to the company at the time. It proved to be a big success, with 16 of the unsigned participants earning contracts with the company to revive the Cruiserweight division on Monday Night Raw, and showcased some fantastic wrestling from some of the best cruiserweights in the world. This tournament also paved the way for WWE to run more tournaments featuring talent not signed to the company, with the inaugural United Kingdom Championship Tournament happening in January of the following year before the company would hold the inaugural Mae Young Classic the same year. Like the Cruiserweight Classic, the Mae Young Classic was a 32-participant tournament, with the field comprised of members of the NXT roster and women ...

Worst in the World: Mr. McMahon vs Pat McAfee-WrestleMania 38 (Night 2)

NOTE: Sorry this is a day late. I moved this past week and just kind of lost track of things. I'm all settled in now and will be back on my normal schedule. Thanks & enjoy!   You know, I never thought I'd see the day. I know Vince McMahon was almost 77 years old at the time and obviously not getting any younger, but the idea of seeing him actually retire was something that didn't seem like a possibility. I was 100% sure Vince was gonna run WWE until the day he died, and I don't think I'm alone in thinking that. Now, obviously, Vince retiring probably had less to do with him actually deciding it was time to retire and more to do with sexual misconduct allegations & multi-million dollar hush money payments , but the end result is the same; Vince McMahon no longer runs the WWE. And so, given how his time as chairman ended, it's only fitting that one of his final appearances on screen resulted in one of the worst-rated matches in WWE history. In the lead-up ...

Worst in the World: The Horrors of Halloween Havoc 2000

In total, I have covered six different matches from WCW's Fall Brawl '98 pay-per-view on the Worst in the World. That led me to call it "quite possibly the worst top-to-bottom wrestling show that has ever been put on by a major company" nearly two years ago. Well, to close out A Very WCW October, I'd like to present another WCW pay-per-view that could easily take that title; Halloween Havoc 2000. While it doesn't have quite as bad of an average star rating as Fall Brawl did, the sheer amount of bad matches on the card has to put it into consideration. Halloween Havoc 2000 featured 11 matches. Only three have a rating from Dave Meltzer higher than a single star. That's eight one-star or lower matches. I've already looked at Mike Awesome vs Vampiro and Jeff Jarrett vs Sting, so let's finish off the rest of Halloween Havoc 2000's horrifyingly bad matches. Match #1: Cajun & Loco vs The Perfect Event Our first match from Halloween Havoc 2000 is...
