RAW vs Nitro #26 (3/25/96)

Welcome back to another edition of RAW vs Nitro. Click here to read the last edition if you missed it. So let's get into it, this is RAW vs Nitro #26. RAW Shawn Michaels vs Leif Cassidy- Before the match, Shawn Michaels brings out his trainer Jose Lothario, who will be in his corner at WrestleMania. Lothario says Michaels will bring the WWF Championship to San Antonio. Michaels & Cassidy lock up before Bret Hart comes down to ringside and takes a seat at the commentary table. Jerry Lawler immediately leaves commentary because of that. Back in the ring, Michaels & Cassidy go back and forth before Michaels locks in an armbar off an arm drag. The two trade holds again before Michaels flips out of a belly-to-back suplex and hits a crossbody for a near fall. Michaels locks in another armbar off an arm drag, but Cassidy fights out and hits a sit out spinebuster. Cassidy hits a side slam before his tag partner Marty Jannetty comes down to the ring. Cassidy locks in a surf...

My Thoughts on NXT (2/22/17): A Hero's Return

Ember Moon vs Liv Morgan vs Peyton Royce with Billie Kay-#1 Contendership for the NXT Women's Championship- Liv Morgan gets immediate bonus points from me for wearing Space Jam-inspired gear. Morgan & Royce quickly get Moon out of the ring before Liv gets two near falls off of roll ups. Royce throws Morgan out of the ring before being kicked out of the ring by Moon. Moon tries to dive onto Royce, but Billie Kay pulls Royce out of the way, sending Moon into Morgan. Royce throws Moon into the ring steps before the commercial break. We come back to see Royce beating down Morgan in the corner. Royce continues to control the match, keeping Moon out of the ring while she works over Morgan. Morgan is able to halt Royce's momentum, hitting tilt-a-whirl headscissors for a near fall, but Royce continues to control the match after that. Royce hits a spinning heel kick in the corner, but Morgan sends Royce into the turnbuckle after that with a drop-toe hold and a double stomp. M...

My Thoughts on SmackDown (2/22/17): Silicone Insincerities

(Sorry this review is later than normal. My power went out all day yesterday so I couldn't watch the show live.) We kick off the show with Daniel Bryan. He brings out Naomi, who he puts over as someone who scratched & clawed and finally became the SmackDown Women's Champion. Unfortunately, Naomi's knee injury will put her out of action for over 30 days and she will have to vacate the Women's Championship. Ah yes, that 30-day clause that WWE chooses to enforce at random times. Remember when Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship and didn't defend it for like four months? Naomi says she reached the top of the mountain, and unfortunately, she's getting knocked off the top right now. In tears, Naomi hands the title to Bryan, who gives her a hug. Naomi says everyone will feel the glow when she comes back. As Naomi walks to the back, outcomes Alexa Bliss, who says Naomi giving up the title is perfect. She says that since she didn't get her rematch agai...

My Thoughts on RAW (2/20/17): No More Heroes

The opening video package for this show was a recap of the Festival of Friendship because this company just wants me to be sad forever. Actually, I just realized it...you know who's fault it is that Owens & Jericho stopped being friends...it's Friendship the Magician's fault! It was his terrible magic that made Owens end the greatest thing about wrestling for the past six months. Shame on you, Friendship the Magician...you monster...THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE BEST FRIENDS FOREVER AND YOU RUINED IT! We open the show with Kevin Owens, sitting in a single spotlight to nothing but boos. Kevin Owens managed to turn heel...while he was already a heel. He says the spotlight is finally on him and only him. He doesn't address what he did to Jericho and proceeds to talk about how he'll beat Goldberg at Fastlane. He says Goldberg is all hype and he never believed it for a second. He says Goldberg never impressed him and he won't take him lightly like Brock Lesnar...

RAW vs Nitro #25 (3/18/96)

Welcome back to another edition of RAW vs Nitro. Click here to read the last edition if you missed it. So let's get into it, this is RAW vs Nitro #25 RAW The British Bulldog with Jim Cornette vs Jake Roberts- The two trade wristlocks to start before Roberts almost gets a quick DDT, but the Bulldog avoids it and leaves the ring. He gets back in the ring, only to get hip tossed. Roberts goes for the DDT again, but Bulldog avoids it again. Roberts tries again, but Bulldog forces him into the corner and takes control. Bulldog beats down Roberts until Roberts dodges a leg drop. Roberts runs wild on Bulldog until Cornette distracts him by tapping him on the ankle with his tennis racket. This allows Bulldog to recover and try for the running powerslam, but Roberts avoids it and hits the DDT. Roberts makes the cover, but Cornette pulls Roberts out of the cover. Roberts decides to grab his snake Revelations and chases Cornette around the ring and up the ramp. This causes Roberts to...

I Watched Impact Wrestling...

Yep...I did it. Now, that I've got Playstation Vue (not sponsored...but could  be sponsored) and I get Pop TV, I might as well start reviewing Impact Wrestling...that was a mistake. It was so bad. Let's just get into this. Crazzy Steve & Rosemary with Abyss vs Moose & Brandi Rhodes- Brandi & Rosemary start off, but Crazy Steve quickly tags in. Moose gets in, but a distraction from Rosemary allows Steve to get some offense, but Moose quickly takes control with a shoulder tackle. Moose continues to control the match until Steve leaves the ring. Moose follows him out but gets clotheslined by Abyss. Steve then hits a cannonball into the stairs before rolling Moose back in the ring. Steve starts chopping Moose before Moose turns the tables and starts chopping Steve. Abyss trips up Moose, allowing Steve to hit two knee strikes and a dropkick. Moose schoolboys Steve before lifting him up and powerbombs him to the outside onto Abyss. That was actually pretty sweet. ...

My Thoughts on NXT (2/15/17): The (Mustache) Mountaintop

The Authors of Pain with Paul Ellering vs Garrison Spears & Lance Anoa'i- We kick off the show with the Authors of Pain squashing some dude & Headshrinker Samu's son. The Authors of Pain brutalize both men before pinning Anoa'i after the Last Chapter. After the match, the Authors of Pain smash the two together before powerbombing both of them. Billie Kay & Peyton Royce vs Liv Morgan & Ember Moon- I know it was supposed to be shocking, but it was kind of obvious Morgan's partner was going to be Ember Moon. I'm pretty sure Moon is the only other babyface on the women's roster. Billie & Moon go back and forth before Moon takes Billie down with headscissors. Moon goes for a move in the corner, but Royce distracts her, allowing Billie to take over. The Aussies beat down Moon until she blocks a big boot and hits a butterfly suplex on Billie. Morgan gets the hot tag and runs wild on Royce, hitting a running bulldog and an STO, but Billie break...

My Thoughts on SmackDown (2/14/17): He's Got The Whole World In His Hands

We kick off the show with the new WWE Champion Bray Wyatt! The crowd chants "You Deserve It!" before Wyatt says Sister Abigail told him this would not be easy. He says he knew he would be WWE Champion one day and now he truly has the whole world in his hands. He says he will lead us to paradise and welcomes us to the era of Wyatt. Outcomes John Cena, who says Wyatt's fans are brainwashed. He says Wyatt has a target on his back now and says he wants his rematch right now. Outcomes AJ Styles, who says he's getting his rematch before Cena does. He says he's beaten Cena several times and he knows he can beat Bray Wyatt, so he wants his rematch right now. Outcomes Daniel Bryan, who decides to book a triple threat for the WWE Championship tonight; Bray Wyatt vs John Cena vs AJ Styles. Backstage, Dean Ambrose looks for Baron Corbin. American Alpha vs The Ascension- Thankfully, Konnor ditched that goofy Immortan Joe-looking mask he wore at Elimination Chamber. Se...

Rosa Mendes' Greatest Moments in WWE

Yesterday, Rosa Mendes officially announced her retirement from professional wrestling, ending her 10-year career in the business. You might be thinking something like "I didn't know she was even still employed" or "There's no way she's been here for 10 years. right?...Right?", but regardless, I wanted to take a look back at all the great, memorable moments in her WWE career. Let's get into it, these are Rosa Mendes' greatest moments in WWE! ... ... ... And that's it! Hope you enjoyed this look back through the career of one of the longest tenured women in WWE history.
