RAW vs Nitro #29 (4/22/96)

Welcome back to another edition of RAW vs Nitro. Click here to read the last edition if you missed it. So let's get into it, this is RAW vs Nitro #29. RAW Goldust with Marlena vs Savio Vega-WWF Intercontinental Championship- We kick off the show with a rematch for the now vacant Intercontinental Championship. Before the match, Vince McMahon & Jerry Lawler try to interview Savio Vega, but he just yells at them in Spanish. The two go at it right from the start before Vega floors Goldust with a clothesline. Vega follows up with a powerslam for a near fall before Goldust leaves the ring. Goldust tries to leave, even though that would cost him the title, but Vega brings him back to the ring. Goldust drops down and slaps Vega before hitting a Stinger splash and kissing Vega. Vega dodges the second attempt, only for Goldust to kick Vega below the belt while the referee tries to break the two up in the corner. Goldust gets the heat on Vega until Vega hits a step-up enziguri be...

RAW vs Nitro #28 (4/15/96)

Welcome back to another edition of RAW vs Nitro. Click here to read the last edition if you missed it.  Now, I had to skip another week because there was April 8th edition of Nitro. Don't worry, nothing important happened on RAW. So let's get into it, this is RAW vs Nitro #28. RAW Marc Mero with Sable vs Leif Cassidy with Marty Jannetty- The two lock up before Mero gets a near fall off a roll up. The two trade wristlocks before Mero hits three arm drags, dodges an elbow drop, and a dropkicks Cassidy out of the ring. Cassidy pokes Mero in the eye before getting thrown onto the apron and getting punched down. Outside the ring, Mero makes the New Rockers bonk heads before throwing Cassidy back in the ring. Cassidy runs right out of the ring and around the ring, allowing Jannetty to get a cheap shot in on Mero. Cassidy suplexes Mero back in the ring before hitting a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Cassidy continues to control the match, at one point hitting a nice ...

My Thoughts on NXT (3/15/17): You (Don't) Deserve It

The Ealy Brothers vs The Authors of Pain with Paul Ellering- In a picture-in-picture promo, the Ealys say they aren't the kind of people you can jump and tell the Authors of Pain not to take them lightly. Gabriel Ealy & Rezar start, with Gabriel surprisingly taking control early on. However, the Rezar quickly takes control and the Authors of Pain hit the Super Collider on the Ealys. The Authors of Pain finish the match with the Last Chapter for the win. After the match, Paul Ellering takes to the mic and says the Revival are the next name in the book of destruction. He says the Authors of Pain are going to become a dynasty before #DIY comes out. They say they can defeat the Authors of Pain and that the Revival helped them retain the NXT Tag Team Championships in their rematch. They say they want a rematch for the titles before the Revival comes out. They say they're the MVPs of the tag team division and that they are the greatest tag team of all time before William Reg...

My Thoughts on SmackDown (3/14/17): Bust Your Windows

We open with Daniel Bryan on his phone talking about the show tonight when AJ Styles comes in looking for Shane McMahon. Bryan says he'll be here later, but Styles says he's going out in front of the WWE Universe tonight. Bryan tells him to watch himself, but Styles says he's looking out for himself. This leads to Styles coming out and taking a mic. He says he's tired of being messed with by Bryan & Shane. He says he's been put in unfair situations by Bryan and has been screwed over, like how he hasn't gotten a one-on-one rematch for the WWE Championship. He says Randy Orton got put in the main event of WrestleMania over him for burning down Bray Wyatt's house, that he had the best 2016 of anyone, and that he's the reason people watch SmackDown. He wonders why the best WWE superstar doesn't have a match at WrestleMania and he plans on having a conversation about his career with Shane McMahon. Also, no David Otunga on commentary tonight becau...

My Thoughts on RAW (3/13/17): The Resurrection of Brock Lesnar

We kick off the show with Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman. Heyman says that at WrestleMania, Lesnar will take Goldberg down before the Goldberg chants start. Heyman says that Goldberg isn't here tonight, but Lesnar very much is so they need to pay attention. Heyman admits that the last few months that Goldberg has gotten the better of him every time they've faced off, but it will be the greatest championship resurrection of all time when Lesnar ends the resurrection of Goldberg. Backstage, Mick Foley & Stephanie McMahon talk about how tense things are between them. Stephanie basically says that it's her fault Foley is bad at his job and she wants to help him. Stephanie then tells Foley that he has to fire one person by the end of the night. If it's not Jinder Mahal, then it's 100% kayfabe. Sasha Banks with Bayley vs Dana Brooke with Charlotte- Dana beats down Sasha in the corner before throwing her back into it. Sasha gets a near fall off of double knees...

RAW vs Nitro #27 (4/1/96)

Welcome back to another edition of RAW vs Nitro. Click here to read the last edition if you missed it. So let's get into it, this is RAW vs Nitro #27. But first! A quick recap of WrestleMania XII, which happened the day before this episode of RAW. On the Free-for-All (basically the Kickoff Show), the BodyDonnas, Skip & Zip, defeated the Godwinns for the vacant WWF Tag Team Championships. Whey were they vacant? Because Billy Gunn injured his neck, forcing the Smoking Gunns to vacate the titles. Camp Cornette defeated the team of Yokozuna, Ahmed Johnson, and Jake Roberts after Vader hit the Vader Bomb on Roberts. In what has to be one of the craziest & bizarre matches in WWE history, Roddy Piper took on Goldust in a Hollywood Backlot Brawl. Piper beats the absolute piss out of Goldust as soon as he arrives at the fight in a gold Cadillac. Like, he doesn't hold back at all. He even cuts his own hand open at one point. Goldust manages to escape after low blowing...

My Thoughts on NXT (3/8/17): Nakamura vs Perkins

Tye Dillinger vs Eric Young... sort of. Young initially sends the rest of SAnitY to the back, only for them come back out with a battered Roderick Strong. SAnitY comes down to ringside as Dillinger goes to check on Strong. No Way Jose comes out to check on Strong as well before referees help Strong to the back. Dillinger & Jose charge the ring and take the fight to SAnitY, but the numbers become too much. Killian Dain & Alexander Wolfe hit a powerslam/running knee combo on Jose before Young hits a wheelbarrow neckbreaker on Dillinger. In a WWE.com exclusive video, Peyton Royce & Billie Kay look for a place to hang their NXT Breakout Star of the Year award. They marvel at the big set up for the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic trophy before noticing Ember Moon in the weight room. They mock her behind the glass, only to quickly run away when Ember tries to leave the weight room. Billie Kay & Peyton Royce are fantastic. We get a vignette for Aleister Black, the former ...
