My Thoughts on RAW (2/13/17): Friendship is Magic

We kick off the show with Stephanie McMahon...boo. She says she's given Mick Foley the week off. She is quickly interrupted by Roman Reigns...boo. He says he wants to fight Braun Strowman right now, so Stephanie asks the fans if they want to see Reigns vs Strowman tonight. The fans obviously say yes, which Stephanie uses to show that the fans want to see him get the piss beat out of him. Stephanie says Reigns won't face Strowman until Fastlane before announcing that Strowman will already be facing Mark Henry tonight. Reigns says he'll come out and watch the match up close, but Stephanie threatens to cancel his match and keep him off the WrestleMania card if he touches Strowman. They are interrupted by Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, who say that Reigns is disrespecting Stephanie. They challenge Reigns to a handicap match, which Stephanie books in honor of the newest member of the WWE Hall of Fame...Teddy Long. Ah yes, because that's what Teddy Long was famous f...

RAW vs Nitro #24 (3/11/96)

Welcome back to another edition of RAW vs Nitro. Click here to read the last edition if you missed it. Now, I had to skip a week because Nitro didn't have a show on March 4th, 1996, so now we're here. So let's get into it, this is RAW vs Nitro #24. RAW Savio Vega vs Steve Austin with Ted Dibiase- Steve Austin didn't get an entrance. STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN DID NOT GET A TELEVISED ENTRANCE. I know he's not a megastar yet, but that just so odd. Also, you may have noticed that he's no longer the Ringmaster. That name was dropped with no explanation. The two lock up and go back and forth before Austin floors Vega with a shoulder tackle. Vega comes back with a crossbody for a near fall before hitting two arm drags, but Austin regains control by dodging the third attempt, causing Vega to sell like he just got turned inside out by a clothesline. Austin did not touch him. He took this bump entirely on his own. Austin beats down Vega until Vega counters a ca...

My Thoughts on NXT (2/8/17): She Doesn't Have Any Friends

SAnitY with Eric Young & Nikki Cross vs The Bollywood Boyz- So because Killian Dain (aka Big Damo) is bigger than both of the Bollywood Boyz...combined, Dain completely demolishes Gurv & Harv Shira, finishing the match with an electric chair driver called the Ulster Plantation on Harv. Alexander Wolfe doesn't even get in the match once. After the match, Nikki gets on the match and demands another shot at Asuka before Young says he humbled Tye Dillinger in San Antonio. Young says Dillinger belongs in SAnitY to close out the promo. Liv Morgan vs Billie Kay with Peyton Royce- The two lock up and go back and forth before Morgan counters a drop down and steps on Billie. Billie hooks Morgan's ankle, but Liv uses the opportunity to roll Billie around the ring. Billie finally gains the upper hand, giving Morgan a Stun Gun before hitting Eat Defeat for a near fall. Billie continues to control the match until Morgan hits a tilt-a-whirl headscissor takedown. Billie goes over...

My Thoughts on SmackDown (2/7/17): Hell Has Frozen Over

Well...it's been a while. Yep, I had more computer issues, but now I'm back and back to writing. Let's get into this. We kick off the show with Daniel Bryan. He says he's grateful to be SmackDown's general manager before being interrupted by the Miz & Maryse. Miz mocks Bryan for having to retire last year and tells him to become a stay-at-home dad. Miz says Bryan can't wrestle anymore and wonders why he's in a WWE ring still. Bryan comes back, saying that not being able to wrestle hasn't stopped Miz from getting in a ring. Nice. Miz tries to talk, but the crowd cuts him off with "Yes!" chants. Baron Corbin comes out and tells Miz to shut up. Miz tries to make a deal with Corbin to team up in the Elimination Chamber match, but Corbin threatens to take him out of the match right now. Dean Ambrose comes out next and rags on Miz's big jacket and Corbin for taking the motorcycle sounds from his entrance music. He says he'll walk o...

My Thoughts on SmackDown (1/10/17): Queen of Black Harts

We kick off the show with the Ambrose Asylum. Ambrose announces he's entering the Royal Rumble before saying he wanted a live alligator on the show, but they don't have the permits, so he got a fake alligator head from the gas station he named Maryse. He is interrupted by the Miz & Maryse, and the Miz says Ambrose is destroying the Intercontinental Championship by holding it before announcing he's entering the Royal Rumble. He says Ambrose stole the title by influencing the referee not to throw out the match after Maryse slapped him and gives him an opportunity to give him the title back or face lawsuits. Ambrose says he does have something that belongs to him...the Miz Participation Award that he gave him. He gives it to Miz, who throws it back at him before attacking him. Maryse tries to slap Ambrose while Miz holds him up, but Ambrose ducks, causing Maryse to slip Miz before Ambrose hits Dirty Deeds on Miz. Ambrose then gives Maryse the Miz Participation Award b...

My Thoughts on RAW (1/9/17): We're Big in Japan

Before the show, Stephanie McMahon gives Mick Foley a performance review for 2016. Before she starts, she raises concerns over whether or not the Undertaker will actually show up tonight. Foley says he's confident he will before Seth Rollins comes into Stephanie's office to tell them he's entering the Royal Rumble. Braun Strowman comes in next and demands a match with Roman Reigns or Goldberg. Foley says Goldberg isn't here tonight and Reigns already has a match tonight before Rollins slaps Strowman. The two brawl before security breaks them up. Roman Reigns (c) vs Kevin Owens & Chris Jericho in a 2-on-1 Handicap match-United States Championship  EXCEPT NOPE! Braun Strowman comes out, so Reigns goes after him. However, the numbers become too much, so Owens, Jericho, and Strowman beat him down. Seth Rollins runs down to the ring with a chair and beats down all three men before Reigns gets a chair. Reigns & Rollins double team Strowman with the chairs before...

RAW vs Nitro #23 (2/26/96)

Welcome back to another edition of RAW vs Nitro. Click here to read the last edition if you missed it. So let's get into it, this is RAW vs Nitro #23. RAW Isaac Yankem D.D.S vs Jake Roberts- We kick off the show with the RAW return of Jake "The Snake" Roberts, taking on the evil dentist. How is this gimmick still around? The two trade blows to start before Roberts hits a hip toss and a knee lift. Roberts goes for the short-arm clothesline, but Yankem avoids it and hits a clothesline of his own. Yankem beats down on Roberts and calls for the DDS. However, Roberts blocks it by holding the ropes and hits the DDT for the win. Pretty poor match, nothing really worth talking about. We get another vignette for the return of the Ultimate Warrior, showing fans asking for Roddy Piper to bring back the Warrior. Diesel vs Bob Holly- Diesel starts off in control, shoving Holly off when he tries to do the 10 punches in the corner. Diesel looks around the ring to make sure th...
