- Killian Dain with Eric Young vs Danny Burch-Dain beats down Burch in the corner to start, taking control early in the match. Dain dominates the match despite some offense from Burch, finishing him off with the Ulster Plantation for the win.
- We get a vignette for Patrick Clark
- Heavy Machinery vs Ricardo Watts & Hector Kunsman-Watts & Kunsman are tiny...very small. Needless to say, Heavy Machinery squashes them, easily manhandling the two. Dozovic impressively lifts both men up in a World's Strongest Slam before Knight hops on his back and crushes both men under him & Dozovic. After the match, Knight says they have a hunger for smashing bodies, but they want the Authors of Pain.
- #DIY get interviewed. They say Heavy Machinery have the size to challenge the Authors of Pain, but they still have a rematch for the titles and line starts behind them.
- Kona Reeves vs Hideo Itami-Reeves attacks Itami before the bell and beats him down. Itami recovers and the match starts, with Reeves pouncing on Itami and continuing the beat down. Reeves controls the match before Itami pops up and slaps Reeves. Itami strikes away at Reeves before hitting a hesitation dropkick in the corner and the GTS for the win.
- We get part 2 of "Who Is Roderick Strong?" He talks about his fiancee, mixed martial artist Marina Shafir, becoming a father, his career in the independent circuit, specifically Ring of Honor.
- In William Regal's office, Regal tells Bobby Roode that Hideo Itami & Roderick Strong will face off next week, with the winner facing him at Takeover: Chicago.
- NXT Women's Championship #1 Contenders Battle Royale-Real quick: Don't think you're slick, Candice LeRae, we see you there. So the match starts, and LeRae is by far the most over person in the match. There are no eliminations for a long time before Billie & Peyton eliminate Victoria Gonzales & Bianca Blair. Rachel Evers (Rachel Ellering) is eliminated next by Aliyah before Sarah Dobson (Crazy Mary Dobson) gets dropkicked off the apron. Billie & Peyton eliminate Sonya Deville (Daria from Tough Enough) and Lacey Evans before Ruby Riot eliminates Kimberly Franklee (Kimber Lee) with a hurricanrana. LeRae gets booted off the ring apron by Billie Kay before Nikki Cross knocks Aliyah off the apron. This gets "Thank You Nikki" chants. I bring this up because I didn't think anyone had strong opinions, positive or negative, about Aliyah. Liv Morgan is able to hang on after Cross throws her over the top rope, but Cross pulls her fingers off the ropes to send her to the floor and eliminate her. Ember Moon is able to eliminate both members of the Iconic Duo, leaving her, Riot, and Cross as the final three. The three trade blows before Moon hits the Eclipse on Cross. Moon strikes away at Riot before going for the Eclipse again on Riot, only for Asuka to run down and push her off the top rope. Asuka tosses Moon out of the ring and kicks Riot & Cross in their heads. Asuka yells that no one is ready for her before leaving the ring. With all three women down and unable to compete, the match ends in a no-contest with no #1 contender. William Regal comes out and announces that Asuka will defend her title in a Fatal 4-Way against Moon, Riot, and Cross at Takeover: Chicago

An often discussed aspect of professional wrestling is the backstage politicking of Hulk Hogan. Throughout his career as a major attraction in wrestling, Hogan's philosophy has always been to protect Hulk Hogan...OK, sometimes he'd help Ed Leslie, but most of the time it was to protect Hulk Hogan. Because of that philosophy and Hogan's influence as a top guy, there have been multiple instances where a company's booking and other wrestlers have suffered as a result. Would having Mr. Perfect win the 1990 Royal Rumble made sense and could have elevated a rising star and potentially created a new main event player? Yes, but that would require Hogan to not win, and that doesn't work for Hogan, so he wins the Rumble even though he doesn't need elevating. Would booking Randy Orton to beat Hogan at SummerSlam 20
